Porto v Arsenal Wednesday 21st February

This match was one I was anticipating so much. Arsenal finally back in the Champions League. And it was time to tell the world we are back. The excited was overwhelming. Nearly a few minutes in Declan gets a yellow card. Were we already at the end of our dream? But Arsenal did dominate with possession but what good is possession without any goals? We looked very boring. No penetration just going side ways. Martinelli looked scared and Saka was did not look like the same guy who played only last week. Leandro Trossard was only there for moral support. We were rubbish in my opinion as I thought we were gonna get 4 goals from the form we were in. Okay I am just annoyed. Could it be the nerves in the front stage? If so get over it and make a meal of it for the next leg or your time in the Champions league is done. And  I am not ready to leave Europe just yet. We made no subs but who is on the bench who can come on to make a difference? This was a very frustrating match to watch as we controlled the game for our tempo but Porto did not give up and nicked a goal in the last minute of the game. It was a peach of a goal. I can't hate it if I'm honest. Raya should of been on his line but this is what we wanted so we got what we deserved.

Burnley v Arsenal Saturday 17th February 2024

BURNLEY V ARSENAL SATURDAY 17TH FEBRUARY 2024

It's Burnley V Arsenal at Turf moor and I am nervous. Will we smash them or escape with a draw? And as this is a 3pm kick off in the UK, it will be much easier for a farmer in a 3rd world country to watch this on TV than myself. No offence to the farmer.

West ham v Arsenal Sunday 11th february 2024

West Ham vs Arsenal 11th Feb 2024

What have I just witnessed? I was expecting us to struggle against West Ham. They are a very good team and having lost to them previously it was a worry that wouldn't go away. The first half was exactly how I expected it to be. We needed a goal to calm the nerves down and continue our intent to go to the end for the league. 32 minutes in Saliba heads it in. Here we go! Now we just need to make sure we don't concede. normally this is followed by a Zinchenko mistake but hes not in the squad so maybe this will end differently? Off course it did as only 6 minutes later Saka gets fouled in the box by the keeper. Pen down the right. 2-0.

Arsenal v Liverpool 3-1  Sunday 4th February 2024

I cannot believe it has actually happened ! Arsenal have beaten Liverpool in a very long time in a game that has not mattered more in a very long time.If Arsenal had not won this game, it would have meant we are officially out of the title race. We may still not win it but it does allow you to dream a little more longer. And as fans at this stage of the revolution that is all I can ask for.

Arsenal were very dominant in the first half. We were in complete control. When Kai had that one on one chance with the keeper to only hit it at the keeper i was ready to unleash total abuse at my tv screen and how this signing never worked. But. Bukayo was there to clean up and the score made me forget about all of that as I leaped  out of my sofa to scream 1-0 to the Arsenal.

William Saliba very rarely makes a mistake. But that goal was all him. I cannot bad mouth him as he has been a rock all season but we must call it for what it is. fine. We move on. I knew at 1-0 Liverpool were going to score. It was inevitable but it still hurts.

As the game went on i had that feeling that are we going to bottle it. Are we going to get punished for not taking advantage of all the dominance in the first half? Bring on the 2nd half and Liverpool also made a mistake. It was like it was written in the stars. Poetry. Karma. call it what you want but I loved it! Van Djik and Alison had a mix up as to who was gonna get the ball only for both of them to miss it. open goal for Martinelli, thank you very much. 2-1. But i still knew the game was too early for it to be over.

Konate reckless on Kai Havertz  to get his 2nd yellow. Liverpool down to 10 men, it must be all over? or is it. sometimes 10 men do better than 11 so i still felt it was too early to celebrate. On comes Leandro Trossard. Shot on the edge, takes a touch off Van Djik to nutmeg Alison. Wow. just wow.
